The exercise stress echocardiogram combines ultrasound imaging of the heart with physical exercise on a treadmill, allowing us to see how your heart muscle and valves function under stress. Images are taken before and immediately after exercise, making it possible to detect areas of reduced blood flow or valve problems that only appear when the heart is working harder. This test is particularly valuable in evaluating chest pain, assessing known coronary artery disease, and determining the safety of exercise in certain heart conditions. It is performed under careful supervision with your safety and comfort as our priority.
